Exploring India One Destination at a Time
My Manali Trip – A Short Travel Review
Manali had always been on my bucket list, and when I finally visited, it turned out to be one of the most refreshing trips of my life. The journey itself was beautiful; as the bus moved higher into the mountains, the cool breeze and the sight of the Beas River flowing alongside made me feel like I was entering another world.
On reaching Manali, the view from my hotel balcony was breathtaking. Snow-capped mountains, tall pine trees, and the crisp mountain air instantly made me fall in love with the place. My first stop was Solang Valley, a paradise for adventure lovers. Paragliding there was an unforgettable experience – the thrill of flying over the valley and seeing the landscape from above is hard to describe in words.
Rohtang Pass was another highlight. Surrounded by endless snow, sipping hot tea and eating Maggi in that freezing weather felt like pure joy. I also visited the Hadimba Temple, which offered a peaceful break amidst the deodar forests. In the evenings, Mall Road was the perfect place to stroll, shop for woolens, and taste local food. The trout fish and momos were simply delicious.
What made Manali special was the balance of adventure and peace. One moment I was rushing with adrenaline during paragliding, and the next, I was quietly sipping coffee in Old Manali cafés, watching the river flow by.
If you plan a trip here, carry warm clothes, some cash, and don’t miss the adventure activities. Manali is truly a place that gives you memories for life – a mix of thrill, beauty, and serenity in the heart of the Himalayas.
My Rishikesh Journey – Yoga, Ganga & Thrills
Rishikesh had always fascinated me with its image of being both a spiritual hub and an adventure destination. When I finally visited, I realized it truly lives up to its reputation. The moment I arrived, the sound of temple bells and the sight of the holy Ganga flowing through the town created a peaceful atmosphere that instantly calmed my mind.
One of my favorite experiences was sitting by the Ganga during the evening Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat. The sight of hundreds of diyas floating on the river, the chants filling the air, and the cool breeze from the water created a magical moment that words can hardly capture. It felt less like a ritual and more like a connection with something divine.
But Rishikesh is not just about peace; it is also about thrill. I tried river rafting in the Ganga, and the rush of riding through the rapids was one of the most exciting things I have ever done. Between the adventure, I also took time to visit Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula. Walking on the suspension bridges with the river flowing beneath and the mountains around was an experience in itself.
The food in Rishikesh was another pleasant surprise. From simple ashram meals to delicious street food like aloo puri and lassi, everything tasted fresh and soulful. Cafés along the river offered a relaxed vibe, perfect for watching the sunset.
My journey to Rishikesh gave me the best of both worlds – moments of deep calm and bursts of adrenaline. It is a place where you can meditate in the morning, go rafting in the afternoon, and end your day with soulful music by the river. Truly, Rishikesh is an experience that stays with you long after you leave.
